The Basics

Five players, each picking 5 NFL games against the spread every week. One pick must be your Double Down. Picks are kept private until games lock — you don't see anyone else's picks until then.

The season runs Weeks 1–18 plus Playoffs Week 1. If two players are tied at season's end, it extends into Playoffs Week 2 as a tiebreaker. Players: Jeff S · Bennet S · Zach T · Zach B · Brennen B.

Buy-in is $50/person. End-of-season payouts: 🥇 1st place $200  ·  🥈 2nd place $50.

When Games Open for Picks

Games are pulled from DraftKings on a set schedule each week. Until a game's odds have been published, it'll appear grayed out — once it opens, the spread is locked in and the game is ready to pick.

🔒 Lock & Reveal

Wed / Thu / Fri / Sat games (Bucket 1): each game locks and reveals at its own kickoff, independently of everyone else. Once it kicks off, everyone's pick for that game is visible.

Sun / Mon games (Bucket 2): these reveal together — all at once — when the earlier of these happens:

• Saturday noon ET, if all 5 players have submitted all 5 picks by then
• The moment the last outstanding pick comes in, if Saturday noon has passed

The commissioner will reach out directly if any picks are still missing as the deadline approaches.

🔥 Double Down

Every week you must mark exactly one of your 5 picks as your Double Down — it's required, not optional.

Scoring

Season standings are ranked by (W + 0.5×T) / (W + L + T). A week can go 6-0 if all 5 picks win with one DD win.

📱 Add to Your iPhone Home Screen

Open the site in Safari (must be Safari, not Chrome), then:

1. Tap the 3 dots in the lower right, then tap "Share" at the top of the dialog box
2. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
3. Name it Blazin' 5 and tap Add

It'll appear on your home screen like a regular app — full-screen without the browser bar.
